SEVEN SPRINGS -- Johnny Frasier scored six touchdowns and Princeton cruised to a 57-13 win over Carolina 1-A Conference rival Spring Creek on Friday night.

The area's leading rusher, Frasier amassed 273 yards on the ground and scored five of his six touchdowns in the first quarter. The Bulldogs led 43-7 after 12 minutes.

Dillon Pace added 65 yards on eight carries in the win.

Princeton finished with 398 yards rushing as a team.

Devonte Faison led Spring Creek with 66 yards on four totes and scored one touchdown. Tre Hammonds added 20 yards rushing and accumulated 88 yards passing. Hammonds connected with Jordan Hicks for a 38-yard touchdown.

Spring Creek (2-6 overall, 1-2 CC) visits Rosewood next week.

Princeton (5-3, 2-1) entertains North Duplin.

Lakewood 0

* WARSAW -- James Kenan took a big step towards clinching the Carolina 1-A Conference title with a 36-0 beating of Lakewood on Friday night.

The No. 1-ranked Tigers improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

James Kenan opened the scoring with Dominique Barnes 1-yard run to end the first quarter. Keevon Miller pushed the Tigers further ahead 15-0 at halftime with a fumble return for a touchdown.

Al Owens owned the third quarter with a pair of touchdown runs from 41 and 28 yards out, respectively. Sam Melvin capped the scoring with an interception return for touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter.

Owens paced the Tigers' offense with 145 yards on 15 carries. Marcelias Sutton added 61 yards on 12 totes. Barnes completed two passes for 20 yards.

James Kenan travels to Hobbton next week.

South Central 28, Southern Wayne 6

* WINTERVILLE -- South Central pulled away in the second half and defeated Southern Wayne 28-6 on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference football scene Friday night.

Tyaire Allen converted a one-yard touchdown run with 15 seconds left in the second quarter to pull the Saints to within 14-6. The Falcons responded with two quick touchdowns to open the second half.

Allen finished with 56 yards rushing on 17 carries. He completed three passes for 46 yards. Jartarvis Bradshaw paced Southern Wayne with 84 yards on 19 totes. Marquise Baldwin tallied 68 yards rushing and 30 receiving.

Southern Wayne welcomes New Bern to the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex next week.

D.H. Conley 55, C.B. Aycock 30

* GREENVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock moved the football effectively throughout its 55-30 loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference rival D.H. Conley on Friday night.

The Golden Falcons had trouble slowing down the potent Vikings offense. D.H. Conley rolled to nearly 400 yards on the ground and scored a pair of touchdowns on special teams in the win.

C.B. Aycock (4-5 overall, 1-3 ECC) plays host to South Central next week.

J.H. Rose 27, Eastern Wayne 12

* GREENVILLE -- J.H. Rose improved to 8-1 on the season with a 27-12 victory over Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe Eastern Wayne on Friday night.

The Rampants remained on track for a first-place showdown with New Bern the final week of regular-season play. Meanwhile, the Warriors (5-2 overall, 1-2 ECC) have yet to play the 3-A portion of their conference schedule.

Eastern Wayne entertains D.H. Conley on Friday.
