Unbeaten Rosewood swept the singles courts and claimed a 6-0, non-conference triumph over county foe Southern Wayne in cold, breezy conditions Thursday afternoon.
The teams did not play doubles.
Top-seeded Dylan Cuddington, the reigning state 1-A eastern regional champion, handed the Saints' Andrew Medlin a shutout loss at No. 1 singles. Fellow Eagles Fouad Ismail, Nathan Tubb, Hunter Hinson, Nolan Tubb and Tyler Power each notched a straight-set singles win.
Rosewood (5-0 overall) begins defense of its Carolina 1-A Conference title at home Tuesday against Goldsboro. First serve is 4 p.m.
Southern Wayne is the guest of Triton on Monday.
