Girls' basketball

Grace Christian 47, Wayne Christian 32

* Grace Christian opened the third quarter with 10 unanswered points and pulled away for a 47-32 victory over Carolina Christian 1-A Conference foe Wayne Christian on Tuesday night.

Brooke Barfield led Wayne Christian with 11 points. Summer Brathwaite provided nine points and 10 rebounds. Katie Isenhower added six points and 10 rebounds.

Kayla Kennedy and Carly Hightower combined for five assists.

Wayne Christian (2-12, 1-6 CCC) visits Crossroads Christian on Friday.

JV sports

* Boys' basketball: Oakwood 30, Wayne Country Day 29 -- Dayton Meadows led the Chargers with 12 points. Wayne Country Day entertains Epiphany on Friday.

Middle schools

* Boys' basketball: Wayne Country Day 60, Oakwood 32 -- Wayne Country Day's Jamal Forde scored 19 points and Preston Edwards provided 12. Corey Carpenter added 11 points. The Chargers play host to St. Mary's on Thursday.
