Wayne Country Day swept a doubleheader from visiting Flora MacDonald Academy 13-0 and 10-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Cole Davis finished the day with three hits and two RBI. Cameron Ford provided a home run and four RBI.
Dare Uzzell (3 RBI), Tyson Pearson (2 RBI), Tucker Pearson (RBI) and Tee Uzzell (RBI) each had hits.
Ford and Neal combined for a one-hitter and five strikeouts in the opener. Pearson and Dare Uzzell combined for a no-hitter and six strikeouts in the second game.
The Chargers (3-0 overall) entertain perennial powerhouse Waccamaw Academy on Thursday.
Hawks edge SC
LaGRANGE -- Spencer Bass allowed one run over six innings of work and North Lenoir held off Spring Creek 9-7 on Tuesday afternoon.
John Delaney worked the seventh inning to record the save for the Hawks.
Najee Jackson (2 RBI) and Grayson Phillips (RBI) each had two hits for North Lenoir. Scott Ginn added a home run and two RBI.
Chris Nichols led the Gators with three hits.
The Hawks (2-3 overall) visit Kinston on Thursday, while Spring Creek (2-2) entertains Southern Wayne on Friday.
Rams buck Bruins
WILSON -- Trent Murray's first- inning solo home run ignited the Greene Central offense in a 9-0 thumping of Eastern Plains 2-A Conference foe Wilson Beddingfield on Tuesday afternoon.
Murray went 2 for 4 at the plate with two RBI and Jon Nethercutt provided three hits and two RBI. Ryan Cobb collected three hits, while Will Bynum was 2 for 4 with and RBI.
Deric Grant pitched a complete-game shutout for the Rams, scattering four hits while striking out six and walking one.
Greene Central (3-1 overall, 1-0 EPC) visits Charles B. Aycock today.
Faith victorious
Nick Gourley pitched five shutout innings and also belted a solo home run to lead Faith Christian to a 6-1 win over visiting Trinity Christian-Greenville on Tuesday afternoon.
The Conquerors travel to Cornerstone Christian next Monday.
Eagles defeated
In a battle of state-ranked independent schools, second-ranked Faith Christian of Rocky Mount got the better of third-ranked Wayne Christian 7-5 on Tuesday afternoon.
Dylan Smith and Chase Darden both had two hits for the Eagles. Travis Thomas, Stephen Gallagher and Ryan Cooke each collected a hit.
Chandler Harrell took the loss on the mound for Wayne Christian.
The Eagles (3-2 overall) entertain Wayne Country Day next Monday.
Softball
Bulldogs win thriller
WILSON -- Princeton pushed across three runs in the top of the 11th inning and escaped with a 6-3, non-conference win over Wilson Fike on Tuesday evening.
Traci Bridgers pitched all 11 innings for the Bulldogs, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits with 12 strikeouts and two walks.
Megan Gerrell led Princeton with three hits. Tylan George, Hannah Wood and Nicole Melvin each had two hits.
The Bulldogs (2-1 overall) entertain Fike today.
CBA thumps NN
ROCKY MOUNT -- Charles B. Aycock quickly disposed of Northern Nash 15-0 in five innings on Tuesday.
Brooke Bell and Autumn Pittman (career-high 7 RBI) both went 3 for 4 at the plate for the Golden Falcons. Connor Davis (3 RBI), Ashley Shingleton (RBI), Rachel Jordan (RBI) and Cara Frederick each supplied a hit.
Pittman recorded the pitching win, allowing just one hit while striking out three and walking none in three innings of work. Bell tossed two scoreless innings of relief.
Aycock (4-0 overall) visits South Central today.
Faith routs Trinity
Faith Christian had its offense in high gear and defeated Trinity Christian-Greenville 20-10 in five innings on Tuesday.
Christina Powell paced the Conquerors with five hits and Elizabethe Weeks had three hits. Courtney Albritten contributed two hits.
Faith (2-0 overall) travels to Cornerstone Christian on Monday.
Warriors fall
West Carteret pushed across four runs in the seventh inning and turned back Eastern Wayne 7-0 on Tuesday in New Hope.
Carrisa Turner went 2 for 3 at the plate for the Warriors. Stephanie Smith and Kara Peralta each had a hit.
Lani Fricks took the loss in the pitcher's circle, allowing three runs on two hits with four strikeouts and three walks over six innings.
Eastern Wayne (2-2 overall) entertains Havelock in a doubleheader on Thursday.

Falcons blank Hawks
LaGRANGE -- Charles B. Aycock began defense of its Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference crown with a 9-0 defeat of North Lenoir on Tuesday.
Blake Vail, Addison Westbrook, Will Hoff, Dylan Quinn, Brad Wilson and Kareem Alawar all recorded singles wins for the Golden Falcons.
The doubles teams of Vail-Quinn, Westbrook-Hoff and Wilson-Alawar were also victorious.
Aycock (4-0 overall, 1-0 ECC) visits ECC newcomer South Johnston on Thursday.
GC pounds Kinston
SNOW HILL -- Greene Central cruised past Eastern Plains 2-A Conference foe Kinston 9-0 on Tuesday.
Eric Simmons, Colby Chase, Hunter Thigpen, Dylan Smith, Ian Whitson and Josh Recore were all victorious in singles play for the Rams.
The doubles teams of Thigpen-Smith, Recore-Johnley Fostanes and Alex Deans-Ryan Thomas were also winners.
Greene Central (2-2 overall, 2-0 EPC) travels to Rocky Mount today.

WCDS wins big
Wayne Country Day rolled past Flora McDonald 13-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Kim Martell scored four times for the Chargers. Sarah Best and Mack Thompson each found the back of the net twice. Georgia Tanner, Catherine Ford and Mollie Catherine McDonald each scored once for Wayne Country Day.
The Chargers (2-1-0 overall) entertain Waccamaw Academy on Thursday.

Gators prevail
SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek tallied 81 points and triumphed in a Carolina 1-A Conference tri-meet with Goldsboro and North Duplin on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cougars recorded 58 points and the Rebels finished with seven.
Jade Graham finished first in the long jump and triple jump for the Gators, while teammate Morgan Washington was first in the 110-meter hurdles.
Spring Creek's Shatonia Kenion earned a first-place finish in the 100 meters. Fellow Gators Dorothy Brooks and Hannah Keel tied for first in the shot put. Hannah Brown crossed the line in first place in the 300-meter hurdles and Brooks captured first place in the 200 meters.
The Gators' 800-meter relay team also earned a first-place finish.
JV sports
* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 14, Greene Central 0 -- Zach Allen tallied three hits and two RBI for the Golden Falcons. Collin DuBose added two hits and two RBI. Josiah Laser had a two-run homer and Taylor Phillips (RBI), Brett Bartlett and Avery Anderson (2 RBI) each provided a hit. Aycock hurler Cameron Taylor allowed just one hit while striking out five. The Golden Falcons improved to 5-0 overall this season.
* Baseball: J.H. Rose 5, Eastern Wayne 3 -- Nolan James recorded two hits and an RBI for the Warriors.
