MOUNT OLIVE -- Racey Bartley and Kailey Preece helped Mount Olive ace its way up the Conference Carolinas volleyball ladder Saturday afternoon.

The duo combined for 13 of 15 service aces as the Trojans dumped Queens 25-12, 25-19, 25-16 at Kornegay Arena. Less than 24 hours after upsetting regionally-ranked and conference leader Pfeiffer, Mount Olive (11-13 overall) jumped to 7-4 in league play.

Bartley served a career-best eight aces and came within one of matching the school record. Preece tied her career high of five aces as the Trojans flushed the Royals for the 16th consecutive time since 2001.

Alicia Mote supplied a match-high 12 kills, while Preece contributed nine kills. Joanie Werling dished out 31 assists and Mallory Peavler inched closer to the career digs record with 12, giving her 1,432.

"We talked about the first meeting (a 3-2 win) and knew we had to get off to a strong start today," said Preece of Queens. "And we were still excited about last night's win, so that kept us fired up today."

Motes posted 21 kills and came within one dig of a double-double with nine as Mount Olive shocked Pfeiffer 25-14, 25-15, 19-25, 27-25 on Friday evening.

Bartley contributed 13 kills and three blocks as the teams wore pink jerseys for the match as part of the "Pink for the Cure" campaign for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Werling handed out 48 assists to go along with eight digs and four blocks. Preece knocked down three aces.

Mount Olive completes its four-game homestand Wednesday against conference opponent Coker (S.C.) College. First serve is 6:30 p.m. at Kornegay Arena.
