LEE RONALD GRANTHAM

Lee Ronald Grantham, 88, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Lee was born in Sampson County Aug. 7, 1929, to the late Harvey and Ethel Autry Grantham.
For 59 years, Lee had worked as a barber with Lee-Marvin Stylist in Goldsboro, where he developed many friendships, and for 25 years, he served once a month as a barber at the Brian Center.
Those who met Lee could always see a smile on his face, and could count on his kindness and friendship.
He was devoted to his family and his church, Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Even in his declining health, Lee continued to exemplify God's love and a heart for serving others.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Lee's life at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with his grandson, the Rev. Jared Grantham, pastor Randy Outland and Dr. Bob Fulkerson officiating. Interment will be in William C. Jackson Family Cemetery of Godwin, N.C.
Lee is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jewel Hudson Grantham; sons, Garry L. Grantham and wife, Sharon, of Goldsboro, Mitchell G. Grantham and wife, Betty, of Goldsboro and Mark A. Grantham and wife, Laura, of Apex; his twin brother, Mac Donald Grantham of Autryville; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Darlene Grantham; great-grandson, Ryder Mitchell Grantham; sister, Edith Cartrette; and brothers, Gilbert Grantham and Delbert Grantham.
