William Hayes Koonce, 82, Kinston, died Sunday.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park of Kinston.
He was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Lenoir County to the late Zack Amos Sr. and Leah Stilley Koonce. He was married to Carolyn Hughes.
He is survived by two children.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 tonight at Rouse Funeral Home.
