NANCY B. FULGHUM
June 29, 1939-March 8, 2018
Nancy Britton Fulghum, 78, passed away Thursday evening at her home.
Born in Williamston, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Marvin Britton and Mary Leggett Britton.
Nancy was retired from the former Goldsboro City Schools and the Wayne County Public Schools, and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teacher's sorority.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher.
A service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating.
Family members will remain to visit with friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Nancy is survived by her husband, W. Kenneth Fulghum; a daughter, Pamela F. Gaines; sons, Kenneth Stuart Fulghum and Charles "Chip" Hayden Fulghum; a sister, Mary Britton Stewart; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Fulghum, Matthew William Fulghum, Charles Dawson Fulghum, Wesley Thomas Gaines and William Stratten Gaines; and great-grandchildren, Madelynn Ann Fulghum and MacKenzie Leigh Fulghum-Tart.
