Rosie Vasatko Best, 74, Four Oaks, passed away Friday morning surrounded by her loving family and the caring folks at Countryside Village.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 52 years, "E.J." Best.
Born in Prince George County, Va., Rosie and E.J. moved to Wayne County 40 years ago, and raised their two children and their one and only grandson here.
Rosie spent the bulk of her career as the accounts receivable bookkeeper for Best Distributing.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Patrick Muston officiating.
The family invites friends to a time of fellowship one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.
A burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Best is survived by her husband, Everette "E.J." Best of the home; two daughters, Denise Lupton (Doyle) of Goldsboro and Linda Hedspeth (Bill) of Kill Devil Hills; one brother, Frankie Vasatko (Gloria) of Virginia; one sister, Mary Childress (Beverly) of Virginia; and one grandson, Michael Robert Saunders of Four Oaks.
