Mark Anthony Pope, 55, died Tuesday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with visitation afterward.
He was born in Wayne County Dec. 16, 1962, to the late Owen Moses and Bertie Potter Pope. He was married to Virginia Tucker Pope.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
