WILLIE 'DUB' RAY BURNETTE

Willie "Dub" Ray Burnette, 81, Goldsboro, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospices Center with his family by his side.

Graveside service Friday at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with Bishop Jimmy Price officiating.

The family will receive family and friends at Evergreen Funeral Home Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and at other times, at the residence.

Surviving are his wife, Josephine Parnell Burnette; daughters, Robin Price (Lee) of Dudley, Vicki Quinn (Teddy) of Pikeville and Ashley Burnette of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Tripp (Drew), Tiffany Price, Brandon Price, Kaitlyn Quinn, Spencer Quinn and Alayna White; great-grandchild, Kali Jo Tripp; four sisters, Reba Baker of Fuquay-Varina, Judy Bass of Spring Hope, Loraine Stevens of Winston-Salem and Joyce Lennon of Wilmington; and a half-sister, Brenda Gail Burnette, of Texas.

He was a heavy equipment operator for S.T. Wooten, and on his days off, he loved to hunt deer.

He was a native of Nash County, and was preceded in death by his parents, Stella Lamm Burnette and Willie Burnette, and six siblings.

Arrangements are with Evergreen Funeral Home.
