PEGGY ANN ELLIS

Peggy Ann Williams Ellis, 71, Goldsboro, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, while surrounded by her family.

Peggy was born in Carroll County, Tenn., Nov. 15, 1946, to the late James Franklin Williams and Alice Imogene Bailey Williams.

She was a member of Stevens Chapel Baptist Church.

Peggy leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about. Her enthusiasm and charm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Stevens Chapel Baptist Church, 2850 Stevens Chapel Road, Smithfield, with the Rev. Vernon Braswell and the Rev. Marvin Ownley officiating.

The family will greet friends at the church in the hour prior to the service.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wesley Lynn Ellis; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Chris Cox of Goldsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Randal and Carolyn Ellis of Conover; sister, Bettie Harris of Bruceton, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Elijah Wesley Ellis, Savannah Faith Ellis, Scarlett Grace Ellis and Alexis Brie Cox; and a dear cousin and best friend, Shirley Ragsdale of Raleigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Community Home Care and Hospice, 2309 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
