ELBERT "AL" YARBOROUGH

Mr. Elbert "Al" Yarborough, 87, Durham, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mr. Yarborough was born Jan. 3, 1931, in Lee County, N.C., to the late Earl and Esther Yarborough.
He was a CPA with Thomas Knight, Trent, King Co. for 40 years.
Mr. Yarborough proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Mr. Yarborough was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Esther Yarborough; brother, David Yarborough; and sisters, Margarette Harris, Dorothy "Dolly" Stone, Sadie Ryals and Elsie Wicker.
Mr. Yarborough is survived by his wife, Joyce Ingram Yarborough; son, Jim Yarborough (Lisa) of Durham; daughter, Anne Y. Baber (Doug) of Bahama; sisters, Helen Maddox of Broadway and Belle Jones (Needham) of Mobile, Ala.; grandchildren, Chris Baber (Tabatha), James Yarborough Jr. and Kathryn Yarborough; great-grandchild, Taylor Baber; sister-in-law, Betsy Yarborough; brother-in-laws, Tracy Wicker and Harvey Stone; and numerous other loving family members.
A visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 U.S. 70 West, Princeton, N.C., 27569. Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry L. Wicker.
