MARY LOUISE MCMILLAN CUNNINGHAM

Mary Louise Cunningham, 79, left this world to be with Jesus Thursday evening while surrounded by her family. Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose love for life and others was apparent to all who met her.
Mary was born in Wayne County, to the late Gordon and Callie Garris McMillan. She had retired from Northern Telecom. Mary had a sparkle in her eye and a heartwarming, generous spirit, always making everyone feel at home. She was a member of United In Christ Church. Mary leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about. Her enthusiasm and charm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at United In Christ Church, 1314 Patetown Road, Goldsboro, followed by a service to celebrate Mary's life at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary, with the Rev. Ira Williford officiating. The family will also greet friends Monday following the service at the church and other times at her home. Interment will be on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at 10 a.m. in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mary is survived by her husband, James Edwin Cunningham Sr.; her children and their spouses, Marlene and Kirk Daughtry, Cheryl and Jack Watson, Mike and Tonya Engles, Karen and Mike Cooper and Lori and C.J. Weaver; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sylvia Caudill and husband, Dave, of Michigan; brother, Julian McMillan and wife, Carol, of Wilmington; her stepdaughter, Regina Harmon; and 12 stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Delwin Engles; husband, A.D. Harmon; and brother, Gordon McMillan Jr.
