Belle Cates Padgett, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at Brookdale Berkeley Boulevard in Goldsboro.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina.
Mrs. Padgett was born in Harnett County Sept. 15, 1930, to the late Frank Fuller and Nila Byrd Cates.
She was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church and a previous member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan P. Walls and husband, Bobby, of Rosewood and Terri P. Massey of Clayton; one brother, Jerry Cates and wife, Helen, of Tennessee; two sisters, Ruth Beck of Raleigh and Diane Kiel and husband, Steve, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Jason Walls and wife, Cari-Ann, and Julie Jones and husband, Wesley; and four great-grandchildren, Kate and Abby Jones and Preston and Palmer Walls.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her husband, Hue Fredrick Padgett.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Brookdale Berkeley Boulevard staff and Community Home Health and Hospice.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
