Lorraine Hales Howell, 90, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Lorraine was born in Wayne County Jan. 13, 1928, to the late Harvey and Celia Lewis Hales. She was married to the late James "Jim" Howell.
Lorraine was a member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Lorraine's life at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Interment will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
At other times, the family will be at 133 Walker St., Goldsboro.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Dennis Howell; special daughter, Teresa Stanley and fiancé, Felipe; grandsons, Linwood, Joey and Danny Stanley; granddaughters, Julie Smith and Celia Leigh Kennedy; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Howell.
