Dorothy Ebbie West Raymer, 93, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Wayne County May 11, 1924, to the late Broddie West and Nora Crumpler West.
Dorothy had served as a dispatcher for Goldsboro Fire Department, and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary.
A gathering of remembrance will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Nancy George; brother, Billy Ray West; grandson, Robert Heller; great-grandsons, Josh Heller and Aaron Heller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harry Heller; brothers, Norwood West, Edward West and Lloyd West; and sister, Elenor Lauvie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
