Annie Ruth Johnson McNamara, 75, Dudley area, slipped away from this world into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday evening, Jan. 17, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center following a brief illness.
Her family will be receiving friends at Tyndall Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 20, from noon to 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Pastor Richard Cuddington and the Rev. Brooks Warren will officiate, with burial to follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family also welcomes friends and relatives to the residence.

Annie Ruth had been a longtime employee of Village Decorating Center, where she did custom framing and assisted with interior decorating and design.
She was a member of Northeast Church, where she had served as treasurer of the ladies auxiliary.
She was also a member of Goldsboro Singles Club.
The grace and courage that she exhibited following her cancer diagnoses was an amazing inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela "Angie" McNamara Sanders and Tommy Sanders of Dudley and Amanda "Mandy" McNamara Warren and the Brooks Warren of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Kelsea Sanders Walters and husband, John, of Knoxville, Tenn., Nolan Sanders and wife, Alexis, of Dudley and Seth Warren and Cole Warren both of Raleigh; a great-grandson, Cruz Walters of Knoxville; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy Ray and Brenda Johnson of Mount Olive; a special friend and companion, Dennis Croom of Kinston; several special nieces and nephews; and many dear and loving friends.
She had been married to the late James Elbert McNamara, and was daughter of the late Nathaniel and Leora Daniels Johnson.
