Billy Ray Ellis, 85, died Monday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Friday at 7 p.m. at United in Christ Church.
He was born in Wayne County Aug. 7, 1932, to the late Tony Sr. and Ethel Keeter Ellis. He was married to Dorothy Britt Ellis.
He is survived by four children.
Visitation will follow the service.
Arrangements are by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
