Violet Casey Ferrell, 72, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Ferrell Family Cemetery, with pastor Jason Watford and pastor Otto Griffin Jr. officiating.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Steele and Hazel Davenport Casey, stepdaughter of Lena Bruce Casey, and wife of the late Robert Linwood Ferrell.
She is survived by two sons.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times, at her home.
