Pat Cockrell Coley, 87, of Stantonsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.
Homegoing service will be held Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside committal service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Pat was born in Nash County on Feb. 28, 1930, to the late Thomas Ray and Eva Batts Cockrell. She was a floral designer having worked with Pinewood Florist and was a member of Watery Branch Free Will Baptist Church in Stantonsburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay Stallings and husband, Jimmy, of Eureka and Patricia Coley of Raleigh; three sons, Freddie Coley and wife, Lynn, of Stantonsburg, Dennis Coley and wife, Susan, of Nahunta and Durrell Coley and wife, Syble, of Belfast; two sisters, Faye Tyson of Ramseur and Jerri Minshew of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Michelle Jarman (B.J.), Amy Lancaster (Garey), Freddie James Coley, Crystal Lancaster (David), Wendy Dinges (Vince), Brian Coley and Melissa Coley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Coley; son, Warren Coley; sister, Remetha Weaver; and a brother, James Ray Cockrell.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
