Doris Mae Byrd Sawyers, 82, died Saturday at home.
Graveside service was private.
She was born Jan. 3, 1935, in Duplin County to the late Willie Austin Byrd and Mary Dale Byrd. She was married to the late Marvin Sawyer.
She is survived by a son and a daughter.
