Mary Ellen "Skeeter" Martin, 69, 229 Miller St., died Saturday at Wayne UNC Health Care Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Thompson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of LaGrange, with elder Jacob R. Pickett officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
She was born in Wayne County Aug. 17, 1947, to the late Jesse Martin and Jessie Smith-Martin.
She is survived by a daughter.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel of LaGrange, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rod Chester Smith, 229 Miller St., Goldsboro.
Saturday, the family will assemble at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Williams, 106 Avery Place, at 9:50 a.m. for the funeral procession.
