Charles Richard Bruce, 86, resident of Mount Olive, formerly of the Mooresville area, passed away quietly at home Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, 2016.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with visitation to follow. A graveside service will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens of Charlotte, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Love Memorial Baptist Church, 192 Woodland Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
Mr. Bruce, a veteran of the United States Army, had been employed with Southern Railways, was a master mechanic and was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Bruce, and two wives, Peggy and Annie, and is survived by his wife, Sybil DeLoach Safrit Bruce of the home, and numerous stepchildren and their families from his three marriages.
