Bobbie G. Adamson, 83, Bryan, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center of Bryan, Ohio.
Bobbie was born July 6, 1933, in Goldsboro, N.C., the daughter of the late Aaron and Agnes (Herring) Wise.
She was a 1951 graduate of Pikeville High School of Pikeville, N.C.
She married Carl W. Adamson Aug. 4, 1951, in Pikeville, N.C., and he preceded her in death July 13, 2003.
Bobbie worked at Spangler Candy Co. as a packer for 37 years.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Bryan.
Bobbie had a passion for reading, and she also enjoyed caring for the roses that she and Carl raised, as well as gardening. She treasured the time she spent with family, especially the family dinners.
Surviving are her three children, pastor Carl (Peggy) Adamson of Brookhaven, Miss., Jean (Gary) Dyben of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Linda (Jerry) Fitzenrider of Montpelier, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Nathan Adamson, Jeremy (Ashley) Adamson, Micah (Brittney) Adamson, Chris (Amy) Moehlenkamp, Heather (Kevin) Ford, Jennifer Benner, Shane (Sarah) Fitzenrider and Dan (Ashley) Fitzenrider; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Billy Wise of Lake City, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; one daughter, Sharon Adamson; one brother, David Wise; and two sisters, Mildred Polter and Betty Daughtry.
Visitation for Bobbie G. Adamson will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home -- Lynn Street Chapel, 206 N. Lynn St., Bryan.
Funeral services for Bobbie will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with her son, pastor Carl Adamson, and pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan.
Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
