Dr. Dorothy Elizabeth Lewis, 59, passed Friday, July 22, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center of Goldsboro, N.C.
The celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at noon at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, N.C. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery of Princeton, N.C.
There will be a visitation held Friday, July 29, 2016, from 4 to 6 p.m., with the family arriving to greet friends from 5 to 6 p.m., at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations Inc.
She was born July 23, 1956, in Wayne County, N.C., to Edward Earl and Doretha Watson Lewis.
She is survived by her five brothers, Donald Lewis of Maryland, Edwin Lewis and Earl Lewis both of Greensboro, N.C., Manual Newsome of Georgia and Derrick Lewis of Virginia.

The family is receiving friends at 1401 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, N.C., where it will assemble at 11 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
