Carla Jeanne Towndrow Wicks, 51, Goldsboro, died July 25, 2016, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Carla was born in Syracuse, N.Y., Feb. 25, 1965, to the late George Towndrow and Edith Dinardo Towndrow.
She was a computer programmer with GE Healthcare.
Carla was an advocate for childhood adoption.
She was a member of Goldsboro Optimist Club.
A service to celebrate Carla's life will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Carla is survived by her husband of 30 years, Terry Craig Wicks; sons, Tyler Wicks and wife, Tara, of Huntington, W. Va., and Logan Wicks of Goldsboro; daughter, Tiana Claire Wicks of Goldsboro; and siblings, Celeste Puzzullo, George Towndrow Jr. and Russell Towndrow.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah, Aiden and Owen.
In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Towndrow.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
