Hubert Andrew Medlin, 67, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, in Florida.
Hubert was born and raised in Fremont, and was the son of Ruby Josephine Medlin of Fremont and the late Grover Medlin.
He was retired from St. Lucie Road and Bridge Department in Florida.
A service celebrating Hubert's life will be held Friday, July 22, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Mike Barnes officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In addition to his mother, Hubert is survived by his wife, Connie Medlin; children, Hubert Andrew Medlin Jr. and wife, Tawnya, Randy Lee Medlin, Brandy Michelle Medlin and fiancé, Skip, Jennifer Kay Syler and husband, Dave, and Amanda Rae Medlin and fiancé, Scott; grandchildren, Garrett, Paige, Bradlee, Rylee, Weslee, Liam, Emma, Eli, Colby and Caleb; brothers, Milford Gilbert Medlin and wife, Billie, and Grover Charles Medlin and wife, Paulette; sisters, Patsy Howard and husband, Larry, and Betsy White and husband, Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susie.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 10, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.
