Robert Earl Pemberton, 81, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Bo Pemberton," of 106 Tarheel Drive, Dudley, departed this earthly life on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at PruittHealth Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Farmville.
Robert was born in Wayne County on Nov. 20, 1934 to the late James Pemberton and Virginia Faison-Pemberton. He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County.
Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George Street, Goldsboro. Pastor Thelma Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery-South, 2925 U.S. 117 Highway South, Dudley.
A public viewing will be held on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. in the Apostle D.L. McIntyre Funeral Home.
Mr. Pemberton leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories his wife, Brenda Sutton Pemberton of the home; his son, James Pemberton, affectionately known as Peanut; his daughter, Patricia Ann Pemberton, five brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
On Sunday, family members and friends will assemble one hour prior, at 8:45 a.m. at the residence of Lavernon Pemberton, 109 Elmore Street, Mount Olive in preparation for the funeral procession.
