Alton Jericho Best, 62, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. Burial will be at Best Cemetery.
He was born in Wayne County to Doc Herman Best and Luberta Smith Best.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7, in J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Arletha Coley, 600 S. Taylor St., Goldsboro, NC, where it will assemble for the funeral procession at 12:45 p.m.
