RALPH A. MILLS

Ralph Aaron Mills, 81, passed away Wednesday evening at his home surrounded by his family.
Ralph was born in Wayne County Aug. 3, 1932, to the late Charles Street Mills and Catherine Kleinert Mills.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Ralph enjoyed logging in the Grantham community, but always got the most pleasure in tending his garden, as well as searching for antiques. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He will be missed.
A service celebrating Ralph's life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Howard Seymour and the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Ann Jackson Mills; son, Ralph A. Mills Jr. and wife, Shana; grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Leeah and Jackson Mills; brothers, Roy Mills and wife, Nannie, Norwood Mills and wife, Thelma, and Horace Mills; and sister, Lois Mills.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Mills and Charles Mills, and sister, Lorraine Raynor.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home in the Grantham community.
