ELM CITY -- Jesse Roy Benton, 65, died Saturday.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilbanks Christian Church in Elm City. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont, with the Rev. Bobby White and the Rev. Dwight Batts officiating.
He was the son of the late Edgar Allen and Estelle Varnell Benton, and husband of Linda Horne Benton.
He is survived by a daughter.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Joyner's Funeral Home in Wilson, and other times at the home.
