LINA H. WENDELL

Lina Haddock Wendell, 82, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Lina was born in Lenoir County Jan. 15, 1931, to the late Christopher C. Haddock and Inez Grant Haddock. She was married to the late retired Air Force Maj. Dick Wendell.
Lina was also preceded in death by her son, Rick Wendell; nephew, Mark Wendell; brothers, C.H. Haddock and Lindy Sauls; sister, Fran McDougald; and stepmother, Clyde Haddock.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Elvin Butts, her nephew, officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Lina is survived her son, Key Wendell of Goldsboro; sister, Annie Butts of LaGrange; brother, Marvin Haddock of Princeton; nieces, Pam Stewart and husband, Dennis, Rosemary "Pee Wee" Barden and husband, Kemp, and Annie Mildred Britt; nephew, Elvin Butts and wife, Paula; and dear friends, John and Judy Moore.
