RUBY EDGERTON WHITE

Ruby Edgerton White, 92, passed away Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Ruby was born in Wayne County Dec. 20, 1919, to the late Verus M. Edgerton and Ettie McCullen Edgerton. She was married to Jack Russell White, who preceded her in death Sept. 15, 2001.
Ruby was a graduate of Guilford College, and was a retired school teacher having taught in Georgia and North Carolina.
She was a member of Goldsboro Friends Meeting.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Ruby is survived by two nephews, Harold Pate of Raleigh and Phil Andrews of Climax, and was much loved by many dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Edgerton Pate, and her brother, Marvin Edgerton.
The family expresses its appreciation to the staff of Windsor Point in Fuquay-Varina and Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro for the care provided her.
Memorials may be given in her memory to Goldsboro Friends Meeting, 700 Guilford St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
