MINNIE 'LOU' LANGSTON DUDLEY

KINSTON -- Minnie "Lou" Langston Dudley, 83, Kinston passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012.

Born in Lenoir County April 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose Brown Lang-ston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carey A. Dudley Sr., and sisters, Margie L. Pratt and Liz L. Merritt.

Mrs. Dudley retired as vice president of Dudley's Septic Tank Service.

She was a member of Southwood Memorial Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Pamela D. Oliver and husband, Dick, of Granite Falls and Georgia D. Holleman and husband, Rob, of Kinston; son, Allen Dudley and wife, Pandora, of Kinston; grandchildren, Sandra D. Young and husband, Dale, of Goldsboro, Jennifer D. Lucas and husband, Steve, of Concord, Mark E. Deaver of Buies Creek and Michael Holleman and Nick Holleman of Kinston; great-grandchild, Gabrielle Young; foster great-grandchildren, Isaac and India Hines; sister, Georgia Lee Powell of Cape Coral, Fla.; and sisters-in-law, Jane D. Ward and husband, Norman, of Fort Belvoir, Va., and Irene D. Trott and husband, Hal, of Richlands.

The family extends special thanks to caregivers, Linda Thompson of Deep Run and Becky Lane of Kinston.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Southwood Memorial Christian Church, with elder Jim Cullen officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service and other times at the home.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Southwood Memorial Christian Church, 1027 N.C. 58 South, Kinston, N.C., 28504, or to a charity of one's choice.

Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
