EUREKA -- Mrs. Camilla Wade Pender, 66, died Friday evening, May 25, 2012, at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at the Harrell's Chapel Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Mohn officiating.

She was born May 28, 1945, the daughter of William Wayne and Celia Hart Wade. She resided in Greene County most of her life until moving to Eureka in 2010, following marriage to her husband, Keith.

She was a member of Harrell's Chapel FWB Church, where she was active in church activities, particularly the Ladies' Auxiliary. Camilla retired from First Citizens Bank after having worked more than 30 years as a financial services representative.

Camilla was very devoted to her family, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Following her retirement, she found great enjoyment in gardening, bird-watching, and had also become active with the Eureka Senior Center in recent months. Camilla will be remembered for her outgoing manner and willingness to always help her fellow man.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith Pender, of Eureka; son, Teddy Earl Davis and wife, Robin, of Liberty; a daughter, Wanda Davis Strickland and husband, Robbie, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Davis of Liberty, Bobby Emery and wife, Emma, of Cary, Mallory Strickland, Abbey Strickland and Alex Hope Strickland, all of Goldsboro; step-children, Sandy Davis and husband, David, of Wilson, Robin Charette and friend, Jeff Pearsall of Nahunta, and Scott Pender and wife, Connie, of Pikeville; step-grandchildren, Jordan Davis, Hannah Davis, Adam Pender, Anna Pender, Andrew Pender, and Sarah Carey and husband, David; step-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Carey and Brinley Carey; sisters, Mary W. Taylor and husband, Lionel Jack, of Goldsboro, Annie W. Carter of Chesapeake,Va., Kay W. Hudson of Raleigh; and a brother, Dwight S. Wade of Snow Hill.

The family will receive friends on Monday immediately following the service in the Harrell's Chapel Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the residence, 111 W. Main St, Eureka.
