PIKEVILLE -- Beverly Jones Hutchinson Rhodes, 74, died Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Woods and the Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Willowdale Cemetery.
Born in Miami, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Jack and Edith Remlet Jones. A member of Nahunta Friends Church, she was a former member of the Home Extension Club and the Goldsboro Exchangettes.
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her husband, Spicer Rhodes; three sons, Robin Bryant of Wilson Mills, Tony Bryant of Benson, and Darrell Hutchinson of Snow Hill; two daughters, Susan Hutchinson-Rhodes Greene of Dallas, and Cindy Bryant Pittman of Nahunta; a step-son, Mike Rhodes of Goldsboro; brother, Charles Jones of Athens, Ga.; two sisters, Katherine Carol Keagy of Grottoes, Va., and Awanda Louise Howell of Chariton, Iowa; five grandchildren.
Family members greeted friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and will greet friends at other times at the home.
