ELGENE "SNOOK" LEWIS JR.

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Elgene "Snook" Lewis Jr., 64, 1300 E. Lanvale St., Baltimore, Md., passed Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He was the son of Clara Parks Lewis and the late Elgene Lewis Sr.

Among his survivors are a son, Elgene Lewis III; a daughter, Angela Brown; his mother, Clara Parks Lewis all of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren; great-grandchildren; paternal uncles and aunts, LeHonor Lewis of Baltimore, Md., Odell Lewis of Goldsboro, Adell Rodgers of Durham, Frizell (Mildred) Lewis Sr., of Union, N.J., and Alee Lewis of Goldsboro; maternal aunts, Narcissa Durham Parks and Dora Lewis Parks of Goldsboro; a special cousin, Wilhelmenia Lewis (Lebron) Richardson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; many cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held Thursday, May 24, at Fountain Baptist Church in Baltimore, Md., with Dr. Michael Chambers, pastor and officiator.

Professional arrangements were entrusted to March Funeral Home in Baltimore, Md.

Monday, May 28, Mr. Lewis will lie in state for viewing at 10:30 a.m., with homegoing services at noon in the James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Funeral Home.

He will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery. Elder Scottie Rodgers will officiate.

The family will receive friends and assemble in preparation for the procession at 155 Sandy Lane Road (Cox Development), Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

Professional arrangements are entrusted to Haskins Funeral Home, 601 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C.
