KENLY -- Herbert David Askew Jr., 74, died Sunday at Johnston Health Medical Center in Smithfield.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Minshew-Coley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Kenly Cemetery.
Born Nov. 15, 1937, in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Herbert David and Irene Askew.
He is survived by three sons.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of his brother, Sam.
