The Rev. LaFratta Delano Chambers, 126 Best Ave., Goldsboro, was called home to glory while sleeping Sunday, May 20, 2012.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 23, at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Fremont, with the Rev. Ira Reynolds officiating.
The viewing will be at Hamilton Funeral Chapel Tuesday, May 22, from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving family members and friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will also be held Friday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at Diamond Grove R.Z.U.A. Church in Union Level, Va., and burial will follow immediately after the service.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of the home, Mrs. Flora Waters Chambers; a brother, Hewitt Chambers of Middlesex, N.J.; a son, Lawrence Wilson of Victoria, Va.; a brother-in-law, Earnest Waters Sr. of Goldsboro; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Chambers of Monmouth Junction, N.J., and Dorothy Chambers of Somerset, N.J.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
