BILLY CECIL JOHNSON

Billy Cecil Johnson, 77, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Wake Medical Center.
Billy was born in Wilkes County March 31, 1935, to the late Orville W. Johnson and Zella Mae Staley Johnson.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and retired with the rank of technical sergeant.
Billy worked for Amity Leather in Goldsboro for many years.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 22, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church in Goldsboro, followed by his funeral service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ron Varner officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Wilkesboro with military honors.
Billy is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson; his sons, Michael Johnson and wife, Kathy, of Goldsboro, Danny Johnson of Raleigh, Greg Johnson of Fremont, Jeff Johnson and wife, Jennifer, of Knightdale and Stephen Johnson and wife, Lydia, of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Chris, Brandon, Jennifer, Cooper, Gracyn, Wynn and Chloe; his brother, Richard Johnson and wife, Judy; and his sister, Helen Campbell and husband, Otis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 800 S. Harding Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
