FAISON -- Edna Reese May, 96, Faison, formerly of Hershey, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

She was born Sunday, Sept. 12, 1915, in Lebanon County, Pa., to the late Irvin and Ada (Shaffner) Reese.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles E. May in 1984.

She was a member of Mount View Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school, was president of ladies missionary society and was active in adult bible classes. She was also a member of TAP Ministry and Child Evangelism Fellowship.

She is survived by a daughter, Rosette Wester and husband Ronald of Faison; two sons, Elwood L. May of Elizabethtown and Randall S. May of Hershey; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Ethel Stover, Marilyn Smith, Caroline Dailey, Naomi Epple and Verna Snavely.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard L. May, and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, Pa., 17078, with the Rev. Norman Marks officiating.

Family and friends are invited for viewing Friday, May 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Annville.
