WILLIE M. ROLLINS

Willie McCullen Rollins, 72, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 7 p.m. at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Bill Rose, the Rev. Preston Heath and the Rev. Joseph Leonard officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Rollins Family Cemetery.
Willie was born in Wayne County on Dec. 14, 1939, to the late Lloyd and Maude Rollins. He was employed at Patelos Construction for 25 years and later worked at APV Baker of Goldsboro. Willie enjoyed making things out of wood and would make items for his family that will be treasured for years to come. He was a Godly man who loved the Lord and his family, and Willie set an example for his family that will lead them all their lives.
As a child, Willie attended Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church with his family. He was a former member of Oak Heights PFWB Church. Willie was devoted to his church, served as deacon, usher and choir member and was involved in many activities, including coaching softball, where he utilized his gifts and abilities to share the love of God. He later became a member of Goldsboro Worship Center.
Willie is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sara Pate Rollins; his daughters, Anita Kornegay and husband, Lee, and Cynthia Gordon and husband, Billy; his step-children, Al Seymour and wife, Elizabeth, Vickie Boyette and husband, Milton, and Tammy Bunn and husband, Duane, Brenda McGee and husband, Danny, Danny Hope and wife, Trudy, Quinton Hope, Frankie Hope, Ricky Hope and wife, Janet; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, the Rev. Albert Rollins, Lloyd Rollins and wife, Mary Alice, Joseph Rollins, and James T. Rollins and wife, Monica.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillie Parrucii, Rachel Moore and Edna Wells; and his brother, Robert Rollins.
The family will receive friends on Monday following the service and other times at the home.
