MONIER "MITCH" MITCHELL

Monier "Mitch" Edward Mitchell (Ret. SM/SGT USAF), 75, passed away Saturday at his residence.

A service to celebrate the life of Mitch will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Paula Griffin officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

A native of Newport News, Va., he was the son of the late Edward and Helen Cody Mitchell. After his retirement from the United States Air Force, he worked for many years with Acme Manufacturing and enjoyed golfing with his friends and family.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Lee Mitchell; daughter, Deborah Lancucki of West Point, Va.; grandchildren, Emily Anderson of Richmond, Va., and Alexandra Gwathmey and husband, Benjamin, of Charlotte; sisters, Joan Williams and husband, John, of Pinehurst and Jane Williams and husband, Jim, of St. Charles, Mo.; brother, Michael Mitchell and wife, Rebecca, of Lanexa, Va.

In addition to his parents, Mitch was preceded in death by his son, Steven Mitchell.

Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be sent to Home Health and Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534, Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534, or to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He fought the war, he lost the battle, but he never gave up and he did it his way!
