Bonnie Mooring Gwaltney, 86, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held by the graveside on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Norman Collins officiating.
A native of Wayne County, she was married to the late Jarvis Clifton Gwaltney and the daughter of the late Marcellus Mooring and Smithy Darden Mooring. Mrs. Gwaltney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Gwaltney is survived by her sons, Glenn Gwaltney and wife, Kathy, of Goldsboro, Kenneth Gwaltney and wife, Luann, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Kristie G. Parker, Kensi G. Reece, Logan Gwaltney, and Kimball Gwaltney; great-grandchildren, and Keely Parker, Rhys Parker; stepgrandchildren, Kody Reece and Allie Reece. She is also survived by her sister, Virset M. Carter of Gastonia; and her brothers, Billy Mooring of Murfreesboro, and Clayton Mooring of Wilson.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hadaliene M. Rodgers; and her brothers Roland Mooring and Jimmy Mooring.
The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Mrs. Gwaltney, 1007 11th St.
