MAGNOLIA -- The Rev. Larry Gordon Blount passed away the night of May 7, 2012, peacefully at his home.
Rev. Blount was a pastor for 56 years, most recently at Magnolia Baptist Church, where he was honored to receive the Pastor Emeritus award in 2011.
Rev. Blount enjoyed spending time with his family, and preaching the Word of God.
Join us in a remembering of him and a celebration of his homecoming to heaven to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Magnolia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.
Rev. Blount leaves behind his dear wife, Margaret Jackson Blount; his two loving daughters, Esta Blount and Miriam Blount Worley; his beloved grandchildren, Jamie Lynne Hanchey and Jonathan Scott Worley; and his two cherished sisters, Waurine Williams and Marie Hinson of Mobile, Ala.
