Geraldine Newsome Joseph died May 3 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. James Disciples of Christ in Fremont. Interment will be at Becton Family Cemetery.
She was born in Wayne County Dec. 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Erastus and Canara Newsome. She was married to Jean-Claude Joseph Sr.
She is survived by four sons.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
