MERLE H. EDWARDS

Merle Holloman Edwards died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Nellie Holloman and the late Andrew Holloman.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Eugene Hales officiating. Burial will follow in Calypso Cemetery.
Family members will greet friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
In addition to her mother, Merle is survived by her husband, James Edwards; a daughter, Crystal Lynn Edwards; a brother, Johnny Holloman and wife, Betty; a sister, Patricia H. Goff; and a special friend, Sue Humphrey.
