MOUNT OLIVE -- Mary Alice C. Swinson, 71, died Friday evening, Oct. 28, 2011.
Funeral services will be today at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Kelvin Gurley officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral, and at other times at the home of Alice Dixon, 205 Knollwood Drive, Goldsboro. Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Gary Waine "Skipper" Swinson and his wife, Tommy, of Goldsboro; a daughter, Alice "Princess" Dixon and her husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Tiffany Grady Norris, and her fiancé Jose Guardado, Emilee Faith Swinson; and one great-grandchild, Caroline Norris. Mary is also survived by her special friends at the NC License plate Agency of Goldsboro, Jean Byrd, and an adopted grandchild, Layla Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Herman Callaway and Dixie Mae Guyton; and two brothers, William H. Callaway Jr., and Jack Cecil Callaway.
