MAYBELLE FOSS NEWCOMB

MOUNT OLIVE -- Maybelle Lee Foss Newcomb, 92, passed away Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A retired homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Blackmon Lee and Cora Williams Lee. She was married, first to Claude Foss Jr., and later to John M. Newcomb.
Deceased siblings include Joe Lee, David Lee, Louise West and Betty Wilson.
Mrs. Newcomb is survived by four sons and their spouses, Odell and Louise Foss of Mount Olive, Jerry Foss and Martha Parker of Faison, C. J. and Cheryl Foss of Mount Olive and Kenneth and Renee Foss of Mount Olive; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Tyndall Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Steve Singleton officiating. Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Wilson Cemetery near Calypso.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service, and at other times at the home of C.J. and Cheryl Foss, 156 E. Pine Forest Road, Mount Olive.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
